Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cameras and related equipment in the filming of movies, television programs, documentaries, and live events.
  • Work closely with directors and cinematographers to execute shots as per the creative vision.
  • Set up and adjust camera equipment, including lenses, lighting, and angles, to achieve desired effects.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot camera and video equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with the production team to plan and prepare for shoots, including scouting locations and attending rehearsals.
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate equipment for each production, considering the visual requirements and the project budget.
  • Manage media storage and backup, ensuring footage is safely stored and cataloged for post-production.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in camera equipment and filming techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Camera Operator, with a portfolio or reel showcasing previous work.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of camera equipment, including DSLRs, digital cinema cameras, and camcorders.
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and cinematography principles.
  • Ability to take direction well and adapt quickly to changing environments and requirements.
  • Excellent physical condition, able to handle heavy equipment and work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, able to work harmoniously with a diverse crew.
  • Fluency in Greek and/or English is preferred.
